Third shirt as worn when Manchester United looked to build on the previous season’s 2nd place finish but a terrible start to the campaign led to the departure of José Mourinho in December. Club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came in as caretaker manager and put together a brilliant run of form. The Norwegian signed as permanent manager in March which coincided with a huge swing in form resulting in the side missing out on a Champions League place. This design was memorably worn in the 3-1 win over Arsenal in the FA Cup with Alexis Sánchez making a goal scoring return to the Emirates.
